Winnie will travel to where it is most convenient to serve the families. Regions available for service include Lanark County and the central-south-west areas of Ottawa, Ontario.

As a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) Winnie is able to incorporate her experience in the health care sector along with the specialized training as a death doula to provide more comprehensive care for families, friends, and their loved ones beyond their last breathe.

Personal Care Services

Will provide support in completing all activities of daily living. Clients may need oral care, skin care, perineal care, bed baths, and repositioning. Offer non-medical comfort measures and emotional support. Promise to work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care is provided for our client.

Consultations & Planning

Guide families by facilitating open discussions around end-of-life care. Support families through advanced care planning, living funeral planning, and funeral options. Offer other resources available to support the family and their cultural, religious, or spiritual needs.

Legacy Projects

Whether a child has only lived in their mother's womb or lived over 100 years, their life leaves lasting memories for the family members that they leave behind. Winnie will work with the client and family to help plan, create and share their legacy that they leave behind.

Respite Care

Caregiver burnout is an unspoken truth when it comes to caring for a loved one around the clock, especially when you may be doing it alone. A death doula can step in to let the caregiver take a break. Allow family members to recharge so they can continue treasuring the last moments together with a lighter heart.

Vigil Services

Winnie will create a sacred space based on the wishes of the client and family members. She can vigil and help guide the family and their one through the final act of living with dignity, respect, and love.

Material Artifact Support

During the grieving process after losing a loved one they also leave behind all the physical items collected over the years. It is a daunting process and Winnie has experience in helping families navigate through this difficult time.
